Guar seed futures decline on low demand

Guar seed prices on Friday fell by Rs 12 to Rs 3,856 per 10 quintals in futures trade.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for March delivery were trading down by Rs 12, or 0.31 percent, Rs 3,856 per 10 quintals with an open interest of 46,170 lots.

For April delivery, the futures prices decreased from Rs 17, or 0.43 percent, to Rs 3,899 per 10 quintals with an open interest of 14,330 lots. Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
