Zambian Minister Joe Malanji asks China to invest in gold mining in eastern province

Zambia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Joe Malanji has given a request to the Government of China to pump out funds for gold mining in the country’s eastern province. According to him, the gold mining process in eastern province does not have any formal investment and is presently being mined by the small scale miners.
The Zambian minister Joe Malanji given the request when officials from China’s Shandong province led by the Vice Minister Ren Airong paid a courtesy call on him in the country’s capital Lusaka.
The Chinese delegates are present in Zambia to finalize the process of twinning Eastern province and Shandong province of China.
According to Joe Malanji, it is imperative to say that the country is in a hurry to develop. Hence, any nation that appears to invest from better of the Zambians is welcome, as reported by ZNBC.
According to Ren Airong, Vice Minister of Shandong province, they will initially carry out feasibility studies regarding gold mining in Zambia’s eastern province. He further stated that Shandong province is a power house for economic development and the proposed exclusive partnership will benefit both the provinces.
