ANA Flight Lands Safely in Northern Japan Despite Smoke Concerns

An All Nippon Airways plane with 200 passengers safely landed at a Japanese airport despite smoke emanating from its wing. Upon landing, the smoke dissipated when the engines were turned off, and no injuries were reported.

Smoke was seen coming from an All Nippon Airways plane as it landed safely at Shin Chitose airport in northern Japan on Wednesday, public broadcaster NHK reported.

The ANA flight was carrying about 200 people and no injuries were reported, NHK said.

The smoke, coming from the wing area, subsided when the engines stopped, it said.
