Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday urged officials from revenue-generating departments to ensure they meet their annual targets during a pivotal review meeting.
Revanth Reddy directed strategies to increase revenue compared to the previous financial year, highlighting the importance of cracking down on tax evasion. Representatives from excise, commercial taxes, mining, stamps and registrations, and transport departments participated in the session.
The CM emphasized month-wise targets aligned with annual goals and instructed commercial tax officials to conduct field visits for rigorous GST collections. Addressing the decline in VAT from petrol and diesel, he suggested examining the tax on aviation fuel. Additionally, he stressed curbing illegal liquor transportation and anticipated growth in residential construction due to government initiatives.
