Multiple Indians Rescued After Cargo Vessel Capsizes Off Oman Coast
Eight out of thirteen Indians onboard a Comoros-flagged cargo vessel that capsized off Oman coast have been rescued. The ship, MT Falcon Prestige, capsized on July 14. Nine crew members, including eight Indians, have been rescued. Search operations for the missing crew members are ongoing.

Eight out of thirteen Indians onboard a Comoros-flagged cargo vessel that capsized off the Oman coast have been rescued, official sources reported on Wednesday.
The vessel, named MT Falcon Prestige, capsized on July 14. Of the thirteen Indian seafarers known to be on the ship, nine have been saved during search operations, which also included the rescue of one Sri Lankan.
Efforts continue to find the remaining crew members. The Indian embassy in Oman remains in close contact with the Gulf nation's authorities. The distress call from MT Falcon Prestige was transmitted around 2200 hours on July 14. Both the Oman Maritime Security Center (OMSC) and the Indian Navy are involved in the ongoing search and rescue mission.
