Rs 288.61 Crore Flyover in Sambalpur to Alleviate Train Congestion

The Ministry of Railways has sanctioned Rs 288.61 crore for the construction of a flyover in Sambalpur, aiming to enhance train operations and alleviate congestion in the area, an official stated.
The new flyover will connect Sambalpur Station to Sambalpur City Station, spanning a distance of 8.10 km, the official added.
Designed to facilitate simultaneous train movements from all directions in Sambalpur, the project is expected to ease train traffic and ensure seamless operations towards Titilagarh, Angul, and Jharsuguda, the official highlighted.
The initiative is also anticipated to boost the average speed and efficiency of trains in the region. "This construction falls under the Energy Corridor of Indian Railways, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainable and efficient infrastructure development," the official emphasized.
