ACC Limited, a prominent player in the cement and building materials sector under the Adani Group, announced a landmark performance in its April-June quarterly earnings report. The company revealed a record-high cement volume of 10.2 million tonnes, reflecting a 9% year-on-year increase over the past five years.

The company attributed this consistent performance to significant volume growth, cost reduction, and improved efficiency parameters. Ajay Kapur, CEO of the Cement Business at Adani Group, highlighted that "ACC's performance strengthens our drive to consistently stay a frontrunner in the industry. Our performance this quarter exemplifies our efficiency and agility."

Kapur further emphasized that strategic decisions, customer-centric approaches, and operational excellence continue to propel the company's growth. ACC also noted steady progress in its ready-mixed concrete business, with profitability driven by enhanced efficiency and optimized footprints.

Looking ahead, ACC remains optimistic about the Indian cement industry, which constitutes 23% of the nation's building material sector. With a stable government and progressive policies, India's economy is expected to grow between 6.5-7.0% in FY 2024-25, with the cement industry anticipated to grow 7-9%. An allocation of Rs. 11.11 lakh crores for infrastructure projects in Budget FY'25 and initiatives like Phase IV of PMGSY are poised to boost cement demand further. ACC operates 20 cement manufacturing sites, over 82 concrete plants, and a wide network of channel partners.
