Maruti Suzuki India on Thursday announced a 3.63 percent decline in total sales for July 2024, with units sold dropping to 1,75,041 compared to 1,81,630 in the same month last year.

The company's domestic passenger vehicle sales decreased by 9.64 percent, falling to 1,37,463 units from 1,52,126 units in July 2023. Notably, mini segment cars, including Alto and S-Presso, saw an uptick to 9,960 units from 9,590 units year-on-year, while compact car sales, featuring models such as Baleno and Swift, declined to 58,682 units from 67,102 units.

Similarly, sales of utility vehicles like Brezza and Ertiga dropped to 56,302 units from 62,049 units in the previous year. Mid-sized sedan Ciaz saw a sharp fall, clocking only 603 units compared to 1,348 units last year. However, the company's total exports rose slightly, reaching 23,985 units against 22,199 units in July 2023.
