The Indian government has clarified that 'Viksit Bharat' is not a project but a comprehensive vision document outlining India's path to becoming a developed nation by 2047.
During a Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister for Planning Rao Inderjit Singh emphasized that because 'Viksit Bharat' is not a project, there are no provisions for financial assistance to states under this initiative.
The minister highlighted that infrastructure development and connectivity are pivotal sectors that the government deems essential for spurring the nation's growth, underlining their importance as the primary engines of progress.
