Rail Roko Protest Disrupts Trains Over Alleged Abuse

The rail roko protest at Badlapur station in Maharashtra's Thane district on Tuesday disrupted train services due to alleged sexual abuse at a kindergarten. The protest led to the diversion of 12 long-distance trains, while buses were organized for stranded commuters.

Around 30 suburban trains were partially cancelled as the Railways sought extra buses from state and civic transport bodies. Protesters, including women, blocked tracks, suspending local train services between Ambernath and Karjat stations.

The demonstration turned violent with stone-pelting and school vandalism. Authorities diverted express trains and deployed additional Railway Protection Force personnel to monitor the situation closely.
