Authorities are scrutinizing both the driver and the bus company for potential negligence. Acting police chief Kitrat Phanphet revealed that the bus had more natural gas canisters than permitted, escalating safety concerns.
Urgent nationwide inspections of natural gas-fueled buses are underway, with tighter safety protocols to be implemented, according to the Department of Land Transport.
