EU Pledges 35 Billion Euros for Ukraine

In a strategic move to bolster Ukraine's defense against ongoing aggression, EU envoys have reached a consensus to contribute up to 35 billion euros. This financial package forms part of a broader loan initiative led by the Group of Seven nations (G7).
This bloc support, first announced in June, is serviced by profits derived from Russian assets that have been frozen and immobilized in Western banks. The frozen assets are a consequence of the sweeping sanctions imposed on Russia following its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
The G7 and EU's concerted efforts aim to muster a total of $50 billion, providing Ukraine with crucial economic support in the face of geopolitical tensions and ongoing conflict.
