A tragic accident occurred on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway early Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old woman. Poonam Saini was struck by a speeding concrete mixer truck while on her electric scooter, according to authorities.
The incident unfolded around 9 am on the Jharsa Chowk flyover as Saini was en route to her office in Udyog Vihar. The truck driver allegedly fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle, which has since been impounded by the police.
Saini, a resident of Garhi Harsaru, was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Police have registered an FIR at Civil Lines Police Station, and efforts are underway to apprehend the driver, said ASI Rajbir Singh, the investigating officer.
