TCS Expands with Strategic Acquisition of Darshita Southern India Happy Homes
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has acquired 100% equity shares in Darshita Southern India Happy Homes Pvt Ltd for Rs 2,250 crore. The acquisition includes land and building to be used as a TCS delivery centre. The company was incorporated in 2004 for developing commercial properties.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leader in IT services, announced its acquisition of Darshita Southern India Happy Homes Pvt Ltd. This strategic move, priced at Rs 2,250 crore, was finalized through an all-cash deal for the complete acquisition of equity shares.
The acquisition, according to regulatory filings, includes land and a building, intended to be utilized as a delivery center for TCS operations. A call option for acquiring equity shares post two years is also a part of the agreement.
Darshita Southern India Happy Homes, established in 2004, focuses on developing commercial properties for industrial leasing. This acquisition marks a forward-thinking step for TCS as it expands its infrastructural capabilities. On Tuesday, TCS shares closed 0.37% lower at Rs 3,574.90 on the BSE.
