EU and Assam Forge Path for Strategic Collaborations

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a significant meeting with EU Ambassador to India, Herve Delphin, on Wednesday, focusing on potential collaborations across multiple sectors.

Sarma expressed gratitude to the EU Ambassador and other European diplomats for their backing of the recent Advantage Assam Business Summit 2.0 in Guwahati, according to an official statement. The discussions explored partnerships in clean energy, semiconductors, higher education, skill development, and the aromatics and fragrances industry.

Ambassador Delphin also disclosed the EU's plan to consider establishing a programme management office in Guwahati, which Sarma welcomed, promising full governmental assistance for the initiative.
