Speaking on a social media platform, Sitharaman pledged thorough pursuit of all involved in terrorism under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

The Indian Armed Forces targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir as a response to the tragic April 22 Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, along with military officials, briefed the media about the operation's strategic execution and potential intelligence on future threats.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah highlighted the unfortunate necessity of such measures, while the Cabinet Committee on Security affirmed India's resolve to combat terrorism fiercely. The government has granted the armed forces operational freedom in planning India's response and has issued a stern warning to Pakistan by reassessing the Indus Water Treaty.
