West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday announced that the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) is issuing the occupancy certificate for ITC Ltd's ambitious IT & ITES campus. The campus, located in Action Area-III of New Town, is poised to boost West Bengal's profile as a top investment destination.
The state-of-the-art facility sprawls over 17 acres, allocated by WBHIDCO, and includes three major structures: a towering office building, a business support center, and a knowledge hub, collectively offering more than 14.5 lakh square feet of developed space. With an investment exceeding Rs 1,200 crore, this project promises to create direct employment for over 5,000 professionals.
Banerjee expressed her anticipation of the project's impact, emphasizing that operations are scheduled to begin soon, thereby accelerating the state's appeal to numerous companies looking to invest in West Bengal.
