Traffic on a crucial stretch of NH-10, from Coronation Bridge to Chitrey, will remain halted until 9 am on August 8, according to officials. The road was initially closed from August 3 to 6, but the shutdown has been extended due to ongoing safety concerns, they stated.
The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) has issued a notification in line with Section 33 of the National Highway (Land and Traffic) Act, 2002. This step aims to ensure the safety of all vehicles using the affected stretch of NH-10, which spans from Sevoke to Rangpo.
All types of vehicular traffic will be suspended during this period, as per the notification. The NHIDCL has called on the public to cooperate and arrange alternative travel plans during the closure.
