India and UAE Explore New Frontiers in Investment Ties
India and the UAE recently discussed enhancing their successful free trade agreement and boosting bilateral investments. The dialogue took place at a high-level joint task force meeting in Abu Dhabi, co-chaired by Piyush Goyal and Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focusing on investment in maritime and space sectors.
India and the United Arab Emirates met on Thursday to strengthen the existing free trade agreement between the two countries and explore new investment opportunities.
The meeting, part of the India-UAE High-Level Joint Task Force on Investments, brought together Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, managing director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
Both sides focused on leveraging the India-UAE CEPA, the comprehensive economic partnership agreement that has significantly boosted bilateral trade. Discussions also explored new investment opportunities, particularly in maritime and space sectors, to drive mutual growth.
