India's co-working space market has achieved unparalleled maturity, surpassing established markets like the UK and the US, according to a recent Cushman & Wakefield report. This achievement is attributed to increasing demand for flexible office spaces and the market's agile response to evolving corporate needs.
The report 'Global Trends in Flexible Office 2025' notes India's perfect 100 score in the maturity index, outpacing markets such as the UK, France, and the US. The analysis considered key metrics like flexible inventory as a percentage of total office space and emerging flexible agreement structures.
Industry leaders attribute this growth to rising demand post-pandemic, the expansion of Global Capability Centers, and an increasing trend towards Core + Flex models. Experts foresee a ramp-up in flexible office inventory which is projected to surpass 100 million sq ft by 2026.
