Slovakia Facilitates Activists’ Return from Israel

Slovakia has arranged for the transportation of nine activists detained in Israel back to Bratislava. The group includes citizens from the Netherlands, Canada, the United States, and one Slovak. Israel also deported 171 activists from a Gaza aid flotilla to Greece and Slovakia, including Greta Thunberg.

Slovakia's foreign ministry announced on Monday that it has arranged the transportation of nine activists, recently detained in Israel, back to Bratislava. The group includes individuals from the Netherlands, Canada, and the United States, alongside one Slovak national.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli authorities deported 171 activists who were part of the Gaza aid flotilla. The activists were sent to both Greece and Slovakia, including prominent climate campaigner Greta Thunberg.

This development highlights Slovakia’s role in facilitating the safe return of its citizens and others following controversies related to the flotilla's mission.
