JSW Cement, a key player in India's cement industry, has commissioned a new 1 MTPA cement grinding unit in Sambalpur, Odisha, as part of its strategic expansion in the eastern region. This facility increases the company's total installed capacity to 21.6 MTPA.
The new unit, managed through subsidiary Shiva Cement in partnership with Bhushan Power and Steel Ltd, is positioned to meet the surging demand in Eastern India. JSW Cement aims to triple its overall capacity, setting sights on becoming a top-five industry player.
Spearheaded by CEO Nilesh Narwekar, JSW Cement's strategic investment in the eastern region is pivotal to supporting the area's anticipated industrial growth. With this initiative, the company reaffirms its pan-India expansion ambitions, already holding significant capacity amongst the country's top cement producers.
