The Madhya Pradesh government, in collaboration with NITI Aayog, has launched an ambitious Growth Hub initiative to formulate a comprehensive economic development strategy for the Indore and Bhopal regions. This collaborative effort aims to bolster the local economies while managing urban expansion effectively.
At the initiative's formal launch, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain emphasized the project's objective to strengthen regional economies and regulate urban development. Principal Economic Advisor Ana Roy highlighted NITI Aayog's commitment to supporting the state's economic blueprint, set to be ready by the upcoming financial year.
The initiative's first phase targets the Indore and Bhopal Economic Regions, with plans to eventually include other districts. An economic profile, priority projects, and an action roadmap are under development. Key discussions focused on infrastructure, investment opportunities, and strategic planning, all aligned with the vision for a 'Developed Madhya Pradesh.'
