Vectra Advanced Engineering Wednesday said it is bringing in a 'water drone', which will clear waste and collect environmental data. WasteShark, developed by RanMarine Technology BV of Netherlands, is an emission-free drone that can clear waste, chemicals, and even intrusive vegetation from water, the company said in a statement.

In addition to floating debris, the WasteShark also collects micro-plastics, one of the most difficult pieces of pollution, that need to be removed from entering the sea. WasteShark can hold up to 300 kg at a time, before returning to a collection area where the waste can be processed.
