Pod Taxi Revolution: Maharashtra's Leap into Futuristic Transport

Maharashtra's Minister Pratap Sarnaik announced the 'bhoomi pujan' for the innovative pod taxi services. Maharashtra's Minister Pratap Sarnaik revealed plans for the groundbreaking ceremony of the state's futuristic pod taxi service, set within the next six months. The initiative aims at enhancing connectivity and alleviating the burden on current transport systems.

The announcement follows Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's previous commitment to implement the Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system, featuring fully automated, driverless electric vehicles on elevated tracks. This technology ensures efficient and seamless last-mile connectivity.

The ambitious project will initially focus on linking key regions—Thane, Mira-Bhayandar, and Navi Mumbai—providing a revolutionary alternative to traditional transport while supporting urban mobility goals.
