A catastrophic accident unfolded in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district, claiming five lives and leaving two injured. The tragic incident transpired on the Sagar-Kanpur National Highway when a car carrying seven family members collided head-on with a truck.

The accident, occurring around 8 PM on Friday, was witnessed by Sagar range Inspector General Himani Khanna. She immediately alerted the local police, facilitating a rapid response by emergency services.

Additional Superintendent of Police Aditya Patle confirmed the fatalities and severe injuries. Meanwhile, the truck driver attempted to flee but was apprehended shortly thereafter by the Bijawar police.
