IndiGo Faces Scrutiny: Aviation Minister Vows Action Against Disruptions

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu on Tuesday addressed mass disruptions in IndiGo flight schedules, emphasizing that no airline, regardless of size, can compromise passengers' experiences through poor planning and regulatory breaches.

During a Lok Sabha session, Naidu confirmed that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had issued notices to IndiGo, holding the airline accountable for its internal crew-rostering issues. He assured that abnormal flight disruptions are stabilizing, with over Rs 750 crore already refunded to affected passengers.

The government is keen on establishing a robust aviation sector by encouraging the start and operation of new airlines in India. Despite the opposition's walkout, Naidu reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining safety standards and improving passenger experiences.
