A tragic accident on the Rishikesh-Haridwar road in Uttarakhand claimed the lives of four men from Rishikesh. Their speeding car collided with a parked truck near PNB City Gate, according to police reports on Wednesday.
The victims were identified as Dheeraj Jaiswal, 31, Hariom Pandey, 22, Karan Prasad, 23, and Satyam Kumar, 20. The accident occurred late Tuesday night, and the impact was so intense that the bodies were found lodged under the truck.
Officials stated that initial investigations showed the vehicle, a Mahindra XUV, lost control while attempting to avoid a cow. Swerving left, in an effort to prevent hitting the animal, the car crashed into the stationary truck bearing a Haryana registration. Tragically, all four occupants died instantly.
