Delhi Labour Minister Kapil Mishra has announced a Rs 10,000 compensation package designed to help construction workers who find themselves temporarily unemployed due to the implementation of GRAP III and GRAP IV pollution control measures.
The Minister emphasized that both government and private institutions must ensure that at least 50 percent of their staff work from home, starting Thursday, or face potential penalties.
The compensation program requires workers to register with the government and excludes those in essential services. Mishra criticized the Aam Aadmi Party during a press conference, highlighting differing approaches to Delhi's pollution crisis.
