"Both sides are actively engaged in talks, and there is optimism about reaching a trade agreement," Secretary Agrawal stated to reporters.
In support of ongoing negotiations, a virtual meeting took place last December between India's Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and the United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, indicating both nations' commitment to strengthening economic ties.
