Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant occasion as the Startup India Movement reached its tenth anniversary. Celebrating National Startup Day, the Prime Minister praised the innovation and determination of India's youth, who have propelled the nation to the forefront of the global startup ecosystem.

In a social media post, Modi stated, "Today is special because we mark a decade since the launch of Startup India. This day is about celebrating the courage, spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial zeal of our people." He emphasized the government's ongoing efforts to bolster the startup ecosystem by collaborating with key stakeholders.

Discussing recent reforms, Modi noted, "The Reform Express that India has embarked on has created a very conducive atmosphere for StartUps," highlighting opportunities in sectors like space and defense. He acknowledged the role of mentors, investors, and academic institutions in supporting startups, which contribute significantly to innovation-led economic growth and self-reliance.

Since its inception on January 16, 2016, Startup India has played a transformative role in nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship. With more than 200,000 startups recognized across India, the initiative has driven employment, economic growth, and the strengthening of domestic value chains, across diverse sectors.
