Shares of Bharat Coking Coal Ltd made a remarkable entrance in the stock market, debuting with a substantial premium of 96.5% against its issue price of Rs 23.
Listed at Rs 45.21 on the BSE, the stock witnessed an overwhelming response as it rose to Rs 45, marking a 95.65% increase on NSE. Consequently, the company's market valuation soared to Rs 19,456.95 crore.
The IPO, with a price band set between Rs 21-23 per share, was massively oversubscribed by 146.81 times upon closing last Tuesday, driven by strong investor participation. Incorporated in 1972, Bharat Coking Coal focuses on mining coking coal from Jharia and Raniganj coalfields.
