Chhattisgarh's Railway Transformation: A 24-Fold Budget Leap

Chhattisgarh is set for a railway revolution as Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced a historic budgetary allocation of Rs 7,470 crore for infrastructure development. This allocation represents a 24-fold increase from previous annual outlays, emphasizing the government's commitment to state progress.

In his statement, Sai acknowledged the 'double-engine government' of BJP rule as a driving force behind the state's railway sector transformation. Ongoing projects valued at Rs 51,080 crore include new track construction, station redevelopment, and safety upgrades, notably the Rowghat-Jagdalpur rail project, benefiting the tribal populations in remote regions.

The state's modernization is underway with improvements to 32 railway stations under the Amrit Station Scheme, while new corridors and enhanced train services like the Vande Bharat Express are set to elevate travel standards, contribute to economic energization, and elevate the quality of life across Chhattisgarh.
