Tilfi, a renowned Banaras textile and metal craft atelier, has partnered with the Young Collectors' Programme (YCP) 2026 to present 'Avimukta: The Never Forsaken,' a monumental sculptural installation. The artwork is on display from January 31 to February 8, 2026, at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi.
The Young Collectors' Programme, part of the India Art Fair, marks its 75th anniversary at Triveni Kala Sangam. It serves as a dynamic platform for contemporary art engagement, featuring exhibitions, talks, and workshops, aimed at nurturing new generations of collectors and cultural patrons. Tilfi's role as a Programming Partner highlights its commitment to cultural continuity and mentorship.
'Avimukta' reflects Tilfi's dedication to Varanasi's craft traditions, utilizing handwoven silk and zari remnants to form a towering sculptural piece. Accompanying it is 'Contours of Kashi,' a repousse metal artwork that captures Kashi's skyline in brass. Through this partnership, Tilfi reinforces the importance of craft as a continuum, bridging artisanal knowledge with contemporary art.
