India Evaluates Diesel Supply Requests from Neighbors
India has received a request from Bangladesh for diesel supplies, according to foreign ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal. India will assess its diesel availability before making a decision. Additionally, India is also considering requests for petroleum products from Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
India has received a formal request from Bangladesh for the supply of diesel, as confirmed by foreign ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on Thursday.
The Indian government will review its own diesel reserves and refining capabilities before making a decision on this request, given Bangladesh's heavy reliance on energy imports.
In addition to Bangladesh's request, India is also evaluating applications for petroleum supplies from countries like Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
