The Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha passed a supplementary Budget of Rs 40,461.95 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26 on Thursday. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presented the supplementary demands, which were approved via a voice vote.
The Budget includes Rs 36,374.61 crore for state schemes and Rs 4,087.34 crore for centrally sponsored schemes. Major allocations under state schemes are directed towards 'Ways and Means', power generation, disaster relief, and healthcare improvements, including robotic surgery facilities and PET scanners.
Further allocations cover infrastructure projects under Special Central Assistance, including shopping complexes, road maintenance, and the National Disaster Response Force's machinery procurement. Funds from centrally sponsored schemes will support ongoing and new development projects such as disaster management and rural road construction.
