The global spotlight was on Mumbai as the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) hosted a pivotal Global Symposium on Credit Guarantees, alongside the 38th Annual Conference of the Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation (ACSIC). The event, part of CGTMSE's Silver Jubilee, stressed the importance of improving collateral-free credit access for micro and small enterprises (MSEs).
In his keynote address, Rajneesh, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, reaffirmed the government's robust dedication to empowering MSEs through policy innovation and systemic support. He underscored the critical role of credit guarantee mechanisms in mitigating the persistent barriers to finance access faced by collateral-limited enterprises.
Manoj Mittal, Chairman of CGTMSE and CMD of SIDBI, inaugurated the symposium, while CGTMSE CEO Manish Sinha's welcome address set a collaborative tone for the event. Discussions featured prominent officials, including Ishita Ganguli Tripathy from the Ministry of Defence and Anuja Bapat from the Ministry of MSME, focusing on global cooperation, cross-border partnerships, and sustainable financial inclusion.
