Chain Collision in Thane: Six Vehicles Involved in Major Accident

A serious traffic accident involving six vehicles took place in Thane, Maharashtra, severely injuring a tempo driver, according to official reports. The incident occurred on the Nashik-Mumbai road, near the Nitin Company bridge, on Monday afternoon.
Thane's disaster management cell chief, Yasin Tadvi, explained that the accident happened when vehicles descending the bridge collided in a chain reaction, after one vehicle struck another from behind. Emergency services, including police and fire brigade personnel, quickly reached the site to manage the situation.
The driver of the extensively damaged tempo, a 22-year-old, was rushed to a government hospital for treatment of serious leg and hand injuries. In addition to the tempo, a car and an SUV were among the damaged vehicles, while two other vehicles left the scene. Further investigations by local authorities are ongoing.
