A trainer aircraft operated by Redbird Flight Training Academy crash-landed near the Baramati airstrip in Pune's Maharashtra district after experiencing a technical malfunction on Wednesday morning.
The sole occupant, a trainee pilot, emerged unscathed from the accident, which happened around 8.50 am near Gojubavi village adjacent to the Baramati airstrip.
Police reported that the aircraft was at a low altitude when it developed the issue and hit a light pole during the crash landing. An investigation has been launched by the Redbird Flight Training Academy into the incident, following previous accidents involving their aircraft in the district.
