Boosting Growth: India's Strategic Steps in Agriculture and Infrastructure
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Union Cabinet's approval for increasing the Minimum Support Price for Kharif crops, promoting surface coal gasification, and advancing rail and aviation projects. In a major move for India's economy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Union Cabinet's decision to raise the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for 14 Kharif crops. This step, intended to bolster the income of millions of farmers, comes as part of broader efforts to enhance their welfare and economic status.
Additionally, the Cabinet has approved key infrastructure projects including the upgrade of Nagpur International Airport and the construction of a 134-km semi-high-speed rail line between Ahmedabad and Dholera in Gujarat. These projects promise to significantly improve connectivity, stimulate commerce, and offer new opportunities for regional growth.
Further, a scheme to promote surface coal/lignite gasification has been green-lit to enhance energy security and investment, while fostering technological innovation and job creation. According to Modi, these initiatives collectively aim to secure India's future across various sectors, positioning the nation for sustainable development.
