Climate change's impact on children is profound, from extreme weather to health challenges. Reckitt, along with the Government of Uttarakhand, addresses this through the Dettol Climate Resilient Schools initiative, part of the Dettol Banega Swasth India campaign. This program integrates climate resilience into school environments across Uttarakhand, emphasizing infrastructure, partnerships, and education.

Implemented across the Char Dham region, the initiative prioritizes sustainable practices. An AIIMS Rishikesh evaluation showed significant outcomes: enhanced hygiene behaviors, 94.1% soap utilization, and reduced infections among students. These schools act as catalysts, encouraging students to adopt and promote healthier practices within their communities.

The initiative aligns with India's Mission LiFE, showcasing Reckitt's commitment to fostering healthy and resilient communities. By prioritizing consistent interventions, the program helps shape a more sustainable future, underscoring the role of education in driving health and socio-environmental change at scale across diverse regions.
