President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has inspired Maltese firms to invest in Ghana by taking advantage of the new impetus given to the relations between two nations.

Ghana's Head of State, Nana Akufo-Addo addressed a Ghana-Malta Business Forum on March 26 at Valletta in Malta. He said that 'Ghanaian ladies and gentlemen are ready for business and he is happy that Maltese companies have already made investments to the tune of some USD19 million in Ghana'.

According to Nana Akufo-Addo, there are several projects in Ghana in varied areas such as manufacturing, water, petroleum, gas, housing, agriculture, iron ore, gold, bauxite amongst others. All different sectors are structured to attract the investment from private sector from other countries.

"We have been moderately successful in trying to grow the Ghanaian economy, ensuring that our economy grew from 3.6 percent in 2016, the lowest in two decades, to 8.5 percent in 2017, our first year in office, to 6 percent 2018, and is projected to grow by 7.9 percent in 2019, making it one of the fastest growing economies in Africa," he said. The administration, what he said, spent last two years putting in place measures to develop the fundamentals of Ghana's economy.
