Experts believe that Belt and Road Initiative has the potential to play a ground-breaking role in global trade facilitation and development.

According to Franklin Cudjoe, the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of IMANI Centre for Policy and Education, China is now taking action to fulfil the promises.

In a recent conversation with Xinhua, Franklin Cudjoe opined that the infrastructural development under the Belt and Road Initiative has facilitated the delivery of goods and services since it has helped cut down on transportation costs, adding that these benefits will be far-reaching.

Franklin Cudjo further said he is hopeful that all the countries that have signed the Belt and Road Initiative cooperation documents with China will see the benefits. He said he is looking forward to more fruitful results from the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which was held last week in Beijing, China, Xinhua reported.

The IMANI Center for Policy and Education is an African think tank based in Ghana's capital, Accra. The think tank, as a member of the Atlas Economic Research Foundation, applies free market solutions to intricate domestic social problems.
