Sterlite Power on Thursday said it has pioneered a robotic technology for the installation of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) on high voltage power transmission lines under energized ('live-line') conditions. "For the first time in India, this method will be deployed to replace existing earth wire. Skyrob assisted operations for OPGW stringing will enhance safety and accelerate speed as well as quality of projects. Furthermore, Skyrob can perform visual inspection and health monitoring of existing earth wire and conductors of the transmission line," a company statement said.

Amazon Alexa Skills Store surpasses 30,000 skills in India * E-commerce major Amazon on Thursday said users of Alexa - its voice assistant - in India can now choose from over 30,000 skills offered by top brands and developers.

Amazon has also announced hosting Alexa VOXCON in New Delhi on September 18-19, 2019. The Alexa Skills Store in India features skills across categories like astrology, Bollywood, cricket, devotion, entertainment and education among others, a statement said.
