Cyber security solutions provider Kaspersky on Thursday announced the launch of its latest version of security solutions for home users in India. "This year, Kaspersky has focused on strengthening their defences against threats targeting the individual systems like PCs, laptop, Mac and mobile phones," a statement said.

Internet security or total security solution on the system will help consumers fight against attacks like banking fraud, phishing emails, e-commerce fraud, and will also help parents keep their child digitally safe, it added. The updates also allow the software to fight against the network exploits such as the infamous EternalBlue used by the even more infamous WannaCry, or SMBloris, it claimed.

* Axis Communications launches new solutions

Axis Communications on Thursday launched its second generation radar technology cameras for the India market. "There is an increasing demand, not only to protect boundaries from foreign intrusion, but across educational institutes, airports, railway stations and power plants to adopt new technologies with cost efficiencies," Sudhindra Holla, Director India and SAARC at Axis Communications, said.

With enterprises looking to invest in top-end value-based, hybrid solutions, the radar detector that would help in closing gaps and existing loopholes as it offers excellent image quality, detects movement with high accuracy, and reduces false alarms, Holla said. The network camera market in India is expected to grow from USD 225 million to USD 605 million by 2023 at CAGR of 26.6 per cent, according to IHS 2019 India Report.

*Tata Power among to top-10 firms in corporate governance list

Tata Power on Thursday said it has been ranked among top 10 firms in Indian Corporate Governance Scorecard 2019, an index jointly developed by stock exchange BSE, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Investor Advisory Services India Limited (IiAS). "The scorecard which has been developed with financial support of the Japanese Government presents an assessment of 150 companies, which comprises S&P BSE 100 index constituents (BSE 100 companies) and 50 companies that were listed between April 2015 and March 2017," Tata Power said in a BSE filing.

This is the fourth year of the Indian Corporate Governance Scorecard, which has been developed to provide a fair assessment of corporate practices at the corporate level, the company said.
