Sanjay Kumar highlights importance of Summer Fiesta 2024 in nurturing young minds

Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary of the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, inaugurated the "Summer Fiesta 2024" at the National Bal Bhavan today. The month-long camp, running from May 29 to June 28, 2024, offers over 30 diverse activities for children aged 5 to 16.
Shri Vipin Kumar, Additional Secretary (SS-II), Ministry of Education, and Chairman of National Bal Bhavan, along with senior ministry officials, were present at the event. Addressing the gathering, Shri Sanjay Kumar highlighted the importance of such interactive and innovative programs in nurturing young minds. He emphasized the role of extracurricular activities in complementing academics for children's future success and encouraged children to be curious and explore their surroundings.
"Summer Fiesta 2024" features engaging activities in Creative and Performing Arts, Science, and more, ensuring every child finds something intriguing to explore. Weekly special workshops include Odissi dance, Yoga, Calligraphy, Music recitals, and Games, providing opportunities for children to develop and showcase their skills and talents. Eminent artists and guests will participate in these programs, sharing experiences and inspiring performances.
The initiative has received an overwhelming response, with over 2500 children enrolled in various workshops. To ensure accessibility, transportation facilities are available throughout Delhi, arranged by the National Bal Bhavan.
Established in 1956, the National Bal Bhavan aims to foster learning through thinking, imagination, creativity, and entertaining activities for children.
