Uttar Pradesh Congress workers, led by party chief Ajay Rai, staged a robust protest on Friday, demanding the cancellation of the NEET medical entrance exam due to alleged irregularities.

Similar protests were held by other state units of the Congress, responding to concerns over the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024.

Ajay Rai criticized the government's failure to conduct the NEET exam fairly and highlighted the recent cancellation of the UGC-NET exam due to inputs from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre.

Protesters, equipped with placards and slogans, assembled at the Congress headquarters in Mall Avenue, urging accountability and protection for students' future.

As the demonstrators attempted to advance towards Mall Avenue Crossing, police intervened, leading to the detention of several Congress workers.
