NEET-UG Solver Module Scandal: First-Year MBBS Student Arrested

The CBI arrested Surabhi Kumari, a first-year MBBS student, for her involvement in a 'solver module' related to the NEET-UG paper leak. Twenty people have been arrested so far, including engineers and MBBS students, who were allegedly involved in stealing and solving exam papers to provide solutions to aspirants.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday arrested Surabhi Kumari, a first-year MBBS student at Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), on charges of participating in a 'solver module' that collaborated with an engineer who had illicitly obtained NEET-UG question papers.

Officials stated that Kumari was detained following two days of thorough interrogation. She is believed to be the fifth member of the module, which was active in Hazaribagh on May 5, the day of the NEET-UG examination, to solve the stolen paper.

Surabhi Kumari's arrest is part of a broader investigation into the NEET-UG paper leak, led by the CBI, which has resulted in the apprehension of 16 individuals. This includes Pankaj Kumar, a 2017-batch civil engineer from NIT Jamshedpur, who allegedly stole the NEET-UG paper, and several other accomplices involved in facilitating the cheating operation.
