Opposition Criticizes Government's Stance on NEET Exam Issue

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi criticized Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for failing to address the NEET-UG exam issue satisfactorily in the Lok Sabha. Gandhi emphasized the opposition's commitment to raising the issue to build pressure on the government. Pradhan countered claims of paper leaks, insisting no such incidents occurred in the last seven years.

In a heated exchange in the Lok Sabha on Monday, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi lambasted Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for not satisfactorily addressing the contentious NEET-UG exam issue. Gandhi accused Pradhan of failing to provide a clear response, focusing instead on unrelated topics such as the Supreme Court and the prime minister.

Gandhi stressed that the opposition would persist in raising the issue to exert pressure on the government. He expressed dissatisfaction with Pradhan's response, stating, "The minister should give an answer...but perhaps he did not understand and was not able to tell what he was doing about it (NEET)."

Despite the Centre's recent policy changes, Gandhi insisted that the NEET issue remained his primary concern, calling it a significant problem for the youth. During the Question Hour, other opposition leaders echoed his sentiments, highlighting severe flaws in the examination system. Pradhan, however, rebutted these claims, asserting there has been no evidence of paper leaks in the last seven years.
