Gujarat Expands Eklavya Schools for Tribal Education
The Gujarat government has expanded its Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) to 44 since 2003, benefiting over 11,000 tribal students with modern educational facilities. Tribal Development Minister Kuber Dindor highlighted significant improvements in tribal education due to government efforts, with over 12 lakh pre-matric and 2.5 lakh post-matric scholarships awarded.

The Gujarat government has significantly increased its Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) numbers to 44 since its inception in 2003, now serving over 11,000 tribal students, officials disclosed on Monday.
These institutions are celebrated for their advanced classrooms, offering features such as six interactive LEDs, modern smart technology, and green boards aimed at immersive e-learning experiences. Beneficiaries laud the schools for providing complimentary, quality education from Classes 6 to 12.
According to Tribal Development Minister Kuber Dindor, over 12 lakh tribal students have accessed pre-matric scholarships, while around 2.5 lakh students have benefited from post-matric scholarships. "Owing to the state's dedicated endeavors, education levels in tribal communities have risen, with many youths contributing to national progress through their education," he remarked.
